  • Multisystem ICU - This 24-bed MSICU is our transplant and sepsis-designated unit. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to care for critically ill patients with a wide variety of medical and surgical diagnoses. You’ll see a spectrum of surgeries from renal/liver/pancreas transplantation to vascular and lung to OB/GYN and abdominal, and from ortho trauma to colon to necrotizing fasciitis debridements. Medical diagnoses include: overdoses, lung disorders, diabetes complications, as well as sepsis, antepartum/labor/postpartum complications, renal/liver failure and respiratory disorders. Nurse to patient ratio on this unit is 2:1.
  • Medical ICU - Specially trained nurses in the MICU care for the complex medical patient, including those with respiratory failure, renal failure, multi-system medical conditions, and occasional surgical patients. This 20-bed unit is located in an all-new patient tower, has a dedicated charge nurse who acts as a resource nurse, and has APACHE scores that are higher than the national average. Nurse to patient ratio is 1:1 or 1:2.
