The Pediatric Progressive Care / Oncology unit at Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children has 16 monitored, private beds and is equipped with the most advanced technology to ensure the best possible outcomes. This mixed acuity unit manages the care of Pediatric PCU and Oncology patients, ages newborn through 18 years, as well as patients over the age of 18 who are diagnosed with a pediatric malignancy. The unit is locked for security purposes and badge access is required to enter. The Pediatric PCU / Oncology unit operates at a nurse to patient ratio of 1:3 or 1:4.
