The Medical/Surgical specialty at Florida Hospital Orlando is as diverse as the wide population we serve. All of our work is done on the premise of our mission to heal the mind, body and spirit. We have a passion to serve, and have access to the best resources anywhere. Our 38-bed Med/Surg/Telemetry unit features private isolation rooms and a 1:5 nurse to patient ratio.

Behavioral Health

• Psychiatric Medical - This 20-bed Psychiatric Medical Unit is one of the few facilities in the nation to provide the most thorough whole person care to psychiatric patients that require med-surg level medical care in addition to their psychiatric issues. Nurse to patient ratio on this unit is 1:5 or 1:6.
• Psychiatric Medical East - Our East Psychiatric Medical Unit is a 24-bed unit that provides inpatient services for adult patients. Every effort is put forth, and the best skill utilized, in helping psychiatric patients to return to the highest possible level of emotional, mental, physical and spiritual well being. Nurse to patient ratio on this unit is 1:6.
