A hallmark of this campus is the Florida Hospital Cardiovascular Institute, which has set the standard for the early detection and treatment of cardiovascular diseases and disorders since 1967. Our cardiology team treats more than 25,000 individuals for chest pain and performs more than 1,700 cardiac procedures each year. We are third in the country, and first in the state for the number of open-heart surgeries performed. The critical care team also handles other specialized procedures, such as valve repair/replacement, heart remodeling, ascending and descending aortic aneurysms, and arterial fibrillation ablations.

In addition to our Cardiovascular Institute, Florida Hospital Orlando is home to our Neuroscience Institute. When the Florida Hospital Neuroscience Institute was officially formed in 1998, it was already a recognized leader in neurological and neurosurgical care and treatment in Florida. The Neuroscience Institute at Florida Hospital has grown to become one of the most comprehensive institutes in the nation, treating more neuroscience patients than any other hospital in the nation. Our success is possible due to our integrated interdisciplinary team approach to care. Florida Hospital is supported by skilled physicians and highly trained health care professionals.
