Our Emergency Department has grown to 26 beds, including 18-monitored beds, to better serve the growing community of Winter Park. We see an average of 40,000 patients each year, with physician coverage for 16 different specialties. We like to say that if you’ve worked in our ED, you can work in any ED!
Patient safety, service excellence and true teamwork are the hallmarks of our evidence-based practice, which also incorporates LEAN methodologies for increased efficiency. Collaboration between the ED and inpatient floors is phenomenal, and keeps the workflow constant.
To work here, nurses must be energetic, highly motivated, innovative, open to new technologies/techniques, flexible and willing to learn. We have a dedicated onsite ED Educator who encourages learning via our clinical ladder, internship programs and Nurse Practice Council involvement.
