Our Ortho/Rehab specialty at Florida Hospital Orlando consists of both an Acute Rehab Unit and a nationally renowned Fracture Care Center. We believe in a multidisciplinary approach to healing in a state-of-the-art setting.
The Fracture Care Center is a 22-bed specialty center with two OR suites operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Here, we're dedicated to caring for patients experiencing complex orthopaedic traumas. Our team specializes in: deformity correction, limb lengthening, limb salvage, bone infection, reconstructive surgery, joint replacement and more.
Nurses here have an opportunity to gain expert knowledge, along with exposure to nonunions and malunions, infected fractures and osteomyelitis, and pelvis and acetabulum surgery. The unit works on a 12-hour and Baylor shift program, with flexible rotations.
