Our Surgical Services practice offers the best of both worlds – a close-knit community setting and a high-volume of various cases. It is the ideal environment for growth and learning, with excellent technology, supportive teams and a choice of sub-specialty areas.

• Operating Room

This is a dynamic, high-volume unit featuring 14 surgical suites, with four rooms equipped with laminar flow and dedicated to orthopaedics, but they can be used for general surgery if needed. There is also a suite dedicated for laparoscopic abdominal surgeries. Nurses on this unit handle a full scope of procedures, for patients of all ages.You will experience every type of surgery here, with the exception of neuro and eye.

Our campus is home to the renowned Orthopaedic Institute of Florida Hospital. Here you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with world-class surgeons like Dr. Steve Macarus, who is very well-known in laparoscopic surgeries for women. He brings with him surgical fellows and residences. Our cutting-edge OR also has the capability to broadcast surgeries to other parts of the country and even the world for other surgeons to examine and learn the latest techniques. OR experience and call required.

• Post Anesthesia Recovery (PACU)

Nurses on this unit must have critical care experience and be willing to take call.

• Endoscopy

We will train nurses who are interested in exploring this fascinating specialty. Positions do require call.

• Pre-Admission Testing

• RIO (Rapid In and Out)
