• Cardiac Surgery

Available care includes the most extensive surgical program with open and minimally invasive approaches to heart and vascular surgeries, from off-pump coronary bypass, valve repair and replacements to the most delicate heart remodeling procedures.

• Cath Lab

Our Cath Lab conducts “head to toe” assessments to uncover the blood vessel blockages and help patients who are in acute cardiac distress. Resources within this area include six single-plane labs and one bi-plane lab for intra-valvuloplasty, coronary, atherectomy, cryoplasty, laser, and stenting procedures. You will be involved with all aspects of patient care and gain experience across the board – from diagnostic outpatient work to cardiogenic-shock emergencies to heart cath recovery.

• Electrophysiology Lab

The Electrophysiology Department (EPD) uses cardiac mapping equipment, such as advanced internal electrocardiograms and internal echocardiograms, to identify, eliminate, and treat atrial and ventricular arrhythmias. We house one dedicated room for cardiac device implants and three additional rooms for EPS and our world-renowned ablation program. Nurses on this unit will enhance their skills with a three-month orientation and exposure to cutting-edge technology like Biosense and ESI cardiac mapping, radiofrequency and cryo ablations, Accuson ultrasound, biventricular pacemaker and defibrillator implants. Eight and 10-hour shifts are offered, with no weekends or holidays. However, call is required one or two days per week to finish late cases.

• Non-Invasive Cardiology

Using state-of-the-art technology and the most advanced research, we have an entire floor committed to non-invasive cardiology treatments. We use a wide array of tests to help detect heart disease including ECG, cardiovascular ultrasound, cardiac stress and rehabilitation and cardiovascular research departments. Join our expert team of ECG techs, ultrasonographers, and nurses that support research, stress and rehab, TEE and recovery/holding.

• Invasive Cardiology

The invasive procedure labs serve as a mutli-purpose area caring for patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics. As a member of our highly trained staff, you’ll experience a variety of opportunities to demonstrate a wide range of skills. The three core areas of our Invasive Labs are comprised of Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, and the Vascular Center.

We perform a full spectrum of coronary diagnostic and interventional procedures including: Patent Foramen Ovale closures, Pulmonary Hypertension diagnosis, Cardiac Stem Cell procedures and Impella devices. Diagnostic EP procedures include ablations, implants, follow up device testing, tilts and cardioversions. We also perform carotid stenting.
