The Emergency Department is a full-service 16-bed unit that averages 90 patients per day, with approximately 15 daily admissions. That translates to over 2,000 patients each month, including trauma and neuro. Particularly difficult cases may be transferred to one of the other Florida Hospital facilities for complex medical treatment and procedures.

This state-of-the-art facility is equipped with the latest technology, including computerized charting and streptokinase infusion. All department physicians and nurses are ACLS trained, and experienced in serving patients of all ages.

The ED nurse to patient ratio is 4:1, with a strong team and community orientation throughout the unit. Excellent physician-nurse relationships are a hallmark of this unit, and offer the opportunity for continued learning and growth.
