The East Orlando Emergency Department has 36 beds (including 29 monitored beds) and sees over 68,000 patients each year, ranging from infant to geriatric. And although we are one of the busiest ED's in Central Florida, the Gallup Company has rated us as having world-class employee satisfaction thanks to our family-minded, spiritually centered atmosphere. Other notable features of our ED are:

• Chest Pain Center
• Latest cardiac and trauma monitoring technology
• Child-friendly exam and waiting areas
• Gynecology exam rooms with private bathrooms
• Radiology area with digital imaging

The ED has a 3 or 4:1 nurse to patient ratio and utilizes the LEAN performance improvement model to minimize patient wait time and improve efficiency. Nurses are required to work every other weekend and every other holiday, and are celebrated for their hard work with an employee of the month, Monday luncheons and opportunities for growth in our Professional Practice Program.
