Florida Hospital has designed healing gardens at several of our campuses in order to provide a serene retreat for spiritual renewal.

Devotionals

Our employees have the opportunity to connect with spiritual resources on a daily basis, via "energizers," prayer groups and devotional services in our chapels. We also begin departmental meetings with a time of spiritual focus and prayer.

Spiritual Ambassadors For Everyone (SAFE)

The Spiritual Ambassador Ministry at Florida Hospital highlights our commitment to the mission of sharing God’s love and promise.

Spiritual Ambassadors are employees who feel a call from God to make a difference in their everyday responsibilities and in service to patients, guests and fellow workers. They perform to the highest standard of excellence, and invest their time and energy in providing emotional and spiritual nurturing to individuals they encounter on a daily basis.

Currently, Florida Hospital is blessed with 550 Spiritual Ambassadors who are helping to create mission-focused environments throughout all of our campuses. They work to support and promote a sense of belonging among fellow employees, believing that when spiritual needs are met in the work place, staff will be more effective in their service to — and caring of — our patients and guests.

Chaplin Counseling

Our Chaplains are health care professionals who bring all the resources of spiritual and pastoral care to the fore in helping others cope with what is going on in their lives. Services provided include prayer, rituals, sacrament and/or supportive connections to local religious communities. Chaplains are available to Florida Hospital patients on a 24/7 basis and also assist clergy who come to see their congregants. Employees, as well as their family members and friends, can also arrange for Chaplain visits as needed.
