This specialty centers around a 46-bed Medical PCU, with an average daily census of 26 patients. We treat adults of all ages, primarily with pulmonary, cardiac, diabetes, neurology, and GI diagnoses. Average length of stay is 3-4 days.

We are implementing a Partners in Practice care delivery model on the Medical PCU, in order to promote collaboration between RNs and patient care technicians as they work within designated geographical settings or patient zones.
